Ireland is ideally positioned as a location for leadership in Data Governance. One potential challenge for Ireland in becoming a leader in Data Governance is the need for strong regulatory frameworks and policies to ensure data protection and privacy.

However, Ireland also has the advantage of being home to several multinational technology companies, which provide opportunities to learn from their experiences and build strong relationships within the data governance sector.

Additionally, Ireland’s tech-savvy population and bilingualism (English and Irish) can also be considered strengths in leveraging data governance opportunities.

With 8 academic institutions involved which include the University of Limerick, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, University College Cork, University College Dublin, University of Galway, Dublin City University, Trinity College Dublin and Maynooth University.
