Dr. Rob Brennan
Data governance, cybersecurity risk, data protection, data value, data quality, knowledge graphs, and AI governance are among Rob’s primary research interests. Rob is an Assistant Professor at the University College Dublin School of Computer Science and the Principal Investigator of the EMPOWER data governance spoke. He founded the DCU MA in Data Protection and Privacy: Law and Computing. Rob leads the Value and Risk challenge in the Transparent Digital Governance research strand as an ADAPT Funded investigator. He has been involved in European Union programs since 1998. He was most recently the H2020 Marie Skodowska-Curie project ELITE-S on ICT standards and the H2020 ALIGNED project on software and data engineering. He is co-lead of the Data Governance Workstream of the Irish National Health Service (HSE) Quality and Patient Safety Monitoring System, Principal Investigator on Dr Rob Brennan Lecturer/Assistant Professor the ADAPT-Ordnance Survey Ireland project publishing Ireland’s reference geospatial data as Linked Data on the web and the ARK (Access Risk Knowledge) project with the TCD Centre for Innovative Human Systems and St James’s Hospital Dublin.
